Hello All! It's been a while, I know. I haven't been the best blogger. So I'm here to make it up to you. That's right - 3 posts in a row.

Fulbrighters walking to the Tate Modern Art Gallery during a free morning

I've got to admit- the Fulbright Orientation in London was A LOT. It was a lot of a lot of amazing individuals doing a lot of inspirational projects with a lot of world-changing ideas. The stunning girl in the back is doing breast cancer research, the scholar in the sports jacket is studying cyber terrorism to prevent it before it happens, the guy to my left is working in health sciences, and I am here, little ol' me, studying the Welsh triple harp.

On Tuesday, we arrived and settled in, so I took the chance to try and get my phone sorted (look at me, speaking BrIt1Sh), and, of course, it didn't get sorted. My dad was kind enough to give me his second phone and I went to sleep peacefully in the University of London accommodations.

In the morning we received free breakfast, and after meeting several of the scholars, we made our way to Goodenough College (yes, I made as many jokes as I could think of) for tea and our opening remarks. We spent the day in the conference room, taking a brief lunch at Pizza Express and returning to our "get to know you" sessions. We finished off the day with an alumni panel and a drinks mixer before heading to the pub for some solid fish and chips.

On Thursday, we had a free morning, so a good majority of us decided to fight off the jet lag and head to the Tate Modern Art Museum for the free exhibit. The art was beautiful and mindful but had a sense of humor to it (the thing I enjoy most about modern art- and music). Because I enjoyed it so much, here are a bunch of pictures.

After the Tate, we quickly headed back to our accommodations to get ready for the day. We arrived to a fresh table of tea, coffee, and biscuits and began the meeting with the US Embassy. We were given social media and press tips from the Fulbright team as well as a talk with Archie Bland about what is going on in the UK. After a break for dinner, we convened at the British Library for a wine reception and a talk on media and media's impact on society's perception.

On Friday, we got up early for breakfast in order to check out and store our luggage, and we took the tube to the Houses of Parliament. There we met two MP's (Members of Parliament), took a tour of the building, and had a farewell 3-course meal.

After 3pm, I was picked up by my Dad and Chris, and we were on our way to York.
